Off we go, you have learned how to chain stitch, and single crochet from my previous posts... now you can make the double crochet.
The double crochet is a tall stitch, and gives you much mileage for little effort. To make a double crochet stitch, wind the yarn around the hook one time, then insert the hook through the next stitch, and pull the yarn through.
You will then have 3 loops on the hook, so you again pick up the yarn, and pull it through 2 stitches. You will have 2 stitches remaining, so pick up the yarn, and pull it through 2 loops again.
